Chinese Pork Dumpling


Ingredients

·        5-6 died shiitake mushrooms, presoaked

·        1 ½ cups Chinese cabbage, finely chopped

·        ½ tsp salt

·        250g pork mince

·        2 tsp soy sauce

·        ¼ tsp white pepper

·        2 spring onions finely chopped

·        30 dumpling wrappers

. 1 tbsp oil for frying

Instructions

01.       Finely chop mushrooms and Chinese cabbage, then mix with all other ingredients in a large bowl.

02.       To make dumplings add a small spoon of filling in the middle of a dumpling wrapper. Seal wrapper together with water and pinch until tight.

03.      Continue making dumplings until all filling is used-about 25-30.

04.       Heat a frying pan on medium heat, add oil. Then carefully place dumplings in a pan and cook until starting to get golden brown on bottom. Add ½ cup of water and place a lid on top to finish cooking for about 5 minutes or until water has evaporated.

  1. Serve dumplings with soy sauce or dark vinegar. Serves 4
